Poignant memories from Kindertransport children
A new museum dedicated to those who helped 10,000 mostly Jewish children in Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland to escape from the Nazis is opening in Vienna. Here are some images from the exhibition.

Herbert Kaye (nee Koniec) left Bratislava, Slovakia when he was ten years old. He remembers packing his ice skates, “last polished by my mother in 1939”. He never saw his parents again.
