Austria's largest metal producer Siemens VAI was acquired by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Wednesday leaving thousands of staff uncertain about their futures. Siemens VAI, formerly Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau, has subsidiaries in Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and the USA.
