Despite its misleading name, Leberkäse isn't a cheese. It's similar to meat loaf - with corned beef, bacon, and pork cuts ground, mixed and then baked together. Some market stands even offer a version made of horse meat. Austrians like it sandwiched in a Semmel and it’s often the snack of choice after a session of late-night drinking.
