A provincial women's health programme will travel to all nine Tyrolean districts this autumn, offering free checks and advice without advance registration.
The Frauengesundheitsstraße programme, or women's health roadshow, will run from October 3rd until November 20th, with stops in Reutte, Lienz, Kufstein, Telfs, St Johann, Innsbruck, Schwaz, Imst and Landeck.
The Tyrolean government says visitors can have their blood pressure checked and undergo ECG and BIA measurements, which assess heart function and body composition.
Lipoprotein(a) tests will also be available to assess cardiovascular risk.
Experts will offer advice on endometriosis, menopause, fertility, pregnancy and post-pregnancy health, along with mental health and nutrition.
A separate First-Love-Ambulanz will provide younger women with information on periods, contraception and sexually transmitted infections. Visitors can also find out about stem-cell donation and, if they wish, provide a sample for stem-cell donation.
The programme is free and doesn't require advance registration. Local information published for the Landeck eventalso says people can attend regardless of where they live.
Where and when are the events?
Most of the health events run from 10 am to 3 pm:
- Reutte: October 3rd, Wirtschaftskammer Reutte
- Lienz: October 7th, Johannesplatz
- Kufstein: October 8th, Inntalcenter
- Telfs, Innsbruck-Land: October 16th, Inntalcenter
- St Johann in Tirol, Kitzbühel district: October 22nd, Kaisersaal
- Innsbruck: October 26th, Landhaus 1, from 10 am to 5 pm
- Schwaz: November 11th, Stadtgalerien
- Imst: November 12th, FMZ Imst
- Landeck: November 20th, Altes Kino, from 9 am to 3 pm
