Czech meth gang busted

Austrian, Czech and German police have busted
a 50-member gang that manufactured methamphetamine in the Czech Republic and
sold it in Austria and Germany, a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
The individuals detained include "drug producers, organisers, couriers and dealers", said Barbora Kudlackova, spokeswoman for the Czech anti-drug police unit.
She said police began probing the organised group largely consisting of Albanians and Bosnians after Germany detected meth imports from the Czech Republic early last year.
Officers seized more than 100 kilos of drugs, mostly methamphetamine, worth around eight million euros ($8.44 million) over the course of the investigation.
They also busted two labs in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands, Kudlackova said.
