The original unfortunate incident happened in the city of St. Pölten in Lower Austria, when 21-year-old Jasmine S. asked a hobby tattooist - an acquaintance- if he could draw the symbol representing a perfect balance on her.
The 21-year-old tattoo artist gladly obliged and carefully drew a template for the correct symbol, showing her a picture to confirm it.
When it came to applying the ink, however, he deviated from the original design and added the phallic drawing and swear word instead. The victim only realised when she went home and looked at her new tattoo in the mirror.
After the broadcaster RTL stepped in, Jasmine is now having the original tattoo covered up by tattoo artist Danny Shoestar, who runs a tattoo studio in Vienna.
Shoestar suggested a design of a woman with a music score and inky-effect in the background and started inking the new design onto her back this week.
Meanwhile, the hobby tattooist who drew the original design was found guilty of causing bodily harm, along with several other charges, and has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail.
When asked by the judge why he had done the penis drawing, he replied: “Just because.”
