A 51-year-old man decided to take his one-meter long python named 'Susi' for a walk on Friday to Vienna's largest amusement park.

Police responded to the unusual report of a man carrying a large boa constrictor snake, or python at the Praterstern railway station adjacent to the park.

They discovered a man with his best friend named 'Susi', being handled by several of his acquaintances.

The man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and behaved aggressively when confronted by officers.

Police claimed that the man struck at the police, and even attempted to head-butt one of the officers.  He was promptly arrested.

Vienna's animal rescue organization was called in to take care of his reptilian friend.
