One indicator of the changing seasons in Austria is the number of fleamarket events that start popping up on social media.

With the sun tentatively making an appearance, fleamarket season has officially begun and this weekend is a banger. From second-hand bike parts to vintage fashion, the Local has rounded up some of the bargain-hunting events taking place over the next few days in Vienna.

Fruhjahrsflohmarkt Obkirchergasse
Saturday 7am-6pm, Obkirchergasse
This annual spring market in Doebling will feature hundreds of stalls from a variety of private sellers. It’s the 45th fleamarket in Obkirchergasse so these guys probably know what they are doing. Also featuring food and drinks, face-painting and clown performances, this is very much a kid-friendly event.

Radflohmarkt beim Frühjahrsflohmarkt Obkirchergasse
Saturday 8am-5pm, Arbesbachgasse 6
In conjunction with the spring market detailed above, there will also be a bike flea market taking place round the corner. Pick up second-hand bikes, bike parts, skateboards and other cycling bits and bobs at the first bike fleamarket to take place in Doebling.

Vintage Möbelmarkt am Brillantengrund
Saturday 11am-7pm, Hotel am Brillantengrund, Bandgasse 4
This vintage furniture and design sale with items from the fifties, sixties and seventies is taking place at the very stylish and sunny Hotel am Brilliantengrund. Expect a colourful mix of furniture, shabby chic items that need a loving home. Pause at the hotel’s courtyard restaurant to try some of their delicious Filipino food.

Banana Mobiliar is one of the sellers this weekend at Hotel am Brilliantengrund.
