Police hunt suspected double murderer

Police in Vienna have launched an international manhunt for a suspect wanted in connection with a brutal double murder on May 21st.

The suspect was identified after the murdered couple's stolen bank card was used to withdraw a sum of money.

According to police, the suspect is named Darius Pawel K.  An international arrest warrant has been issued for the 29-year-old man, who is believed to be on the run.

Darius K. is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of an elderly couple in Böckingstrasse in Donaustadt.

According to a police spokesman, the couple’s car was missing and their house had been partially ransacked.

Police officers found the elderly man’s body behind the house. He appeared to have died from severe head injuries, Eidenberger said. The woman’s body was found in a courtyard leading to the house’s entrance, with some injuries. The couple are reported to have been aged around 75.

The couple’s car, a Citroen, was missing, and several rooms in the house appeared to have been ransacked, Eidenberger said. The couple’s son and daughter are being cared for by a crisis intervention team.

Vienna police have issued an appeal for information from members of the public.
