An 11-year-old child in Linz threatened three other children with a knife on Halloween, in order to steal their candy.
Two girls and a boy, aged 11, 12 and 14 years respectively, escaped with most of their sweets, and told their parents, who reported the incident to the police.

The 11-year-old was quickly identified, as he was known to one of the victims, according to the Upper Austrian police press office on Saturday afternoon.

He was interviewed by police, and has partly confessed to the crime.

Because the boy is below the age of criminal responsibility in Austria, which is 14 years, the incident in the Auwiesen district has been referred to the Youth Office for further action.
