Klagenfurt police reported an incident in the early hours of Thursday morning in which they noticed a vehicle travelling without lights.

Despite using the flashing lights, the driver failed to yield, so officers continued the chase until the vehicle reached a dead end road.

According to the police report, the driver then fled on foot.

A second patrol was called in, and the driver was found hiding under a nearby parked vehicle.  When searched, the youth was found to be carrying a drivers license only for a moped -- which turned out to be fake anyway.

The final straw was when police discovered that the unlicensed driver was only 14 years old.  He had taken his mother's car without permission.

An alcohol test was performed, which turned out to be positive.  The young boy was taken into custody, and may face charges relating to the incident.
