Vienna street artist Tabby - who some see as Austria's answer to renowned British graffiti artist Banksy - is holding a week-long “treasure hunt” in the capital in which he invites people to take part in daily challenges and perhaps be rewarded with one of his works.

The hunt starts on Monday and anyone interested can go to his website for information each day on when and where the game begins.

Participants will be hunting for Tabby originals on paper, framed pieces, and canvas paintings. He promises that Monday's piece will be "a framed version of a new outdoor piece that was made last night."

It could take “ten minutes to claim a treasure, or two days - it depends on how fast and motivated you are,” he said.

Photos of Tabby's work have been shared thousands of times on the internet and he claims never to spray on Vienna's historic buildings. Instead he chooses bare walls and neglected corners on which to stencil his work - hoping to "surprise people and make their life more interesting".
