The driver was stopped at a routine traffic check in Dalaas, Vorarlberg on September 8th but could not produce a valid driver’s license.

The man, who lives in Bludenz, claimed to have forgotten his license, which he said had been issued in the Netherlands.

However, when he failed to produce it later police began investigating and found that the man had not been issued a license in Germany or the Netherlands, and had been driving without one for a quarter of a century.

He confessed and has been charged.
