Two men who posed as policemen and carried out ‘security checks' on prostitutes have been arrested in Innsbruck.

The men, aged 24 and 34, are reported to have been posing as officers on Innsbruck’s Südring, traditionally an area frequented by street prostitutes.

Police had been observing the pair for a while, and they are believed to have carried out a fake 'police check’ on at least one woman.
