Austria's flamboyant bearded lady and Eurovision winner accepted the challenge set to her by Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, and even put on a warm coat for the occasion.
However, instead of dumping the ice cold water over her head Conchita urged fans to "donate twice instead of ice", and enjoyed a bowl of ice-cream instead. Not all of the commentators on her YouTube channel were impressed, with some complaining that she had chickened out and failed to do the challenge properly.
She went on to nominate Kylie Minogue, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters.
Oprah, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, George Bush and the Foo Fighters have all taken part in the campaign, which sees a bucket of ice water dumped over participants' heads.
The drive has so far raised $22.9 million (€17.3 million) in aid of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also referred to as motor neurone disease (MND).
Meanwhile, Karl Lagerfeld has shot a series of portraits for an editorial entitled The New Normal featuring Wurst and pregnant model Ashleigh Good.
Wurst poses in new-season Givenchy, Prada, Chanel and Rick Owens with her trademark beard. In one photo she appears wearing suspenders alongside Good.
Lagerfeld said: "We have all heard of 'bearded ladies' but no one has ever seen a bearded man posing as a lady... This brings new meaning to the term 'drag'".
25-year-old Wurst, whose real name is Tom Neuwirth, made her catwalk debut last month, when she closed Jean Paul Gaultier's autumn/winter haute couture show in Paris.
