Austrian jihadist on Interpol's wanted list
A 19-year-old Austrian is on Interpol’s wanted list - charged with belonging to a terrorist organisation and incitement to commit serious crimes.
A wanted notice for Firas Houidi, who is from Vienna and has Tunisian roots, now appears on Interpol’s website.
He is reported to have tried to recruit young people to join the terrorist group Islamic State (Isis), and also posted a tutorial on the internet, demonstrating how to make a pipe bomb.
Interpol believes that Houidi has joined Isis militants fighting in Syria.
He recently made statements on his Facebook page, using the alias Firas Abdullah III , inciting people in Austria to attack the Yazidi community.
"If you have not emigrated and fought, then Allah is giving you the opportunity to lead the jihad here," he wrote.
