Pizzeria Anarchia again disrupt traffic
Members of the anarchic collective who were evicted from the 'Pizzeria Anarchia' squat last week again disrupted traffic with an impromptu protest march on Sunday evening.
Around 6:50 pm on Sunday evening, a noisy group of protestors, many of whom have appeared in previous Pizzeria Anarchia demonstrations, led a march along busy roads in Vienna's Aspernbrückengasse.
Unlike previous demonstrations, there were no police in attendance. A long queue of impatient drivers built up behind the protestors on the Praterstrasse.
The protest was in all likelihood related to the eviction the previous week of a group of squatters from a nearby house in Vienna's 2nd district, which is undergoing a gentrification process which is opposed by some tenants.
The protestors carried a banner, which read (in English) "It has only just begun."
