Police discovered a professional scale marijuana plantation in the basement of a detached house in Vienna's Danube City on Sunday.
Officials of the special armed police response unit WEGA were called out, and found several firearms in the house. The 46-year-old owner was arrested.

A total of 73 marijuana plants, a pump action shotgun, a revolver, two gas-powered guns and two telescoping batons were seized.

Police spokesman Thomas Keiblinger, speaking to reporters on Monday, refused to explain how the plantation was discovered.
