Marijuana 'grow-room' discovered in Vils

Police were called due to a complaint about noise to an apartment in the small town of Vils in Tyrol in the early hours of Saturday morning, and were surprised to find a small indoor cannabis plantation.
When police visited the apartment on a routine noise abatement patrol, a police dog discovered a small crop of ten marijuana plants, as well as various items of drug paraphernalia.
The 38-year-old home owner and a 32-year-old resident were both arrested, and brought before the prosecutor in the city of Innsbruck to face cultivation and possession charges.
Close to the border with Bavaria, Vils is one of Austria's smallest towns, with only 1,500 inhabitants.
