The Local List this week brings you seven foods that expats initially find a little hard to stomach. These dishes come from all over the country and range from savoury to sweet, and many of them focus on meat.

Things are looking up for vegetarians and vegans based in Austria though, with a Veganz supermarket having just opened in Vienna, and the trend for more vegetable-based dishes spreading across the country.

The list is of course subjective so have a look and see if you agree.
