The Dorotheum auction house regularly holds auctions of desirable objets d'art. On Saturday, they will auction a wide range of cars. The Local Austria has selected ten of the best for your consideration.
Luxury cars evince a wide range of feelings, in which avarice is not entirely unknown. The small boys of yesteryear may now have bank accounts with the necessary means to achieve childhood dreams.
Now you can have a chance to acquire a luxury car at a (possibly) affordable price, as dozens of vehicles are going under the hammer in the Dorotheum's latest car auction on Saturday.
We've trolled through the listings - with the help of Jan Richter from Swiss car specialist Classic Driver - to find what we consider to be the best deals, or the most interesting vehicles on offer.
The Dorotheum runs a special competence centre for motor vehicles, machinery, and technical equipment in Vienna-Vösendorf, at Dr. Robert Firneisstrasse 6-8.
Usually, they auction regular vehicles on the first Tuesday of each month, but this time they have a special line up, with over 50 vehicles on offer, and a wide range of memorabilia, including some great collectibles.
For example, check out the 1969 Porsche 911S 2.2 with only 13,000 km on the clock.
