An aspiring Ace Ventura could earn some money by tracking down a cat predator who is on the loose in Graz.

Come nightfall, an unknown assailant grabs his air rifle, and prowls the streets - firing at any cats unlucky enough to be out and in his path.

One ginger-and-white tabby called Findus has already been injured twice by a pellet.

After the first attack, in which the bullet missed Findus’s heart by a few millimetres, the feline was in a critical condition for two weeks.

Just a few days ago the two-year-old was hit again - in the shoulder. Findus had to have another operation.

He is not the only cat to have been shot at in Graz, and so his owner Michael Wurzinger is offering a €1,000 reward to anyone who can track down the shooter.
