Car crashes onto balcony
A BMW plummeted three metres onto a terrace in Vienna's exclusive and hilly district of Döbling on Tuesday.
When the owner noticed her parked car beginning to roll down the driveway on Bellevue Street, she leapt into the driver's seat in a futile attempt to avert the crash.
The vehicle plunged through an iron railing, landing on a terrace three metres below.
By the time the fire brigade arrived on the scene, the driver had managed to free herself from the car. She was uninjured.
The fire brigade used a crane to lift the wreckage back onto the driveway, removed the railing, and secured the site.
