Train tragedy leaves five dead in Purgstall
According to police five people were killed when their vehicle was hit by a train at a level crossing 80km west of Vienna on Friday.
The collision occurred in the town of Purgstall an der Erlauf in Lower Austria.
Five people in the car, including two adults (26 and 32) and two boys (7 and 8) and a girl (11) were killed in the accident. Three other children in the Seat Alhambra were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
No injuries were reported from the train.
