A gardener from Krems in Lower Austria had a nasty shock when a snake emerged from her groceries on the back seat of the car as she was driving home.

The woman had bought a box of bananas from a large supermarket chain and was driving home when she spotted a viper slithering out of the box.

Jachan, also known as the ‘snake Pope’ suspects that the reptile was imported along with a fruit delivery from Spain.
