Teen suspect arrested after job centre stabbing
A 17-year-old youth who is accused of stabbing a 31-year-old man to death during a German course at a job centre in Vienna has been arrested.
The teenager was caught on a speed camera as he walked along the A2 motorway and was apprehended by employees of the Asfinag motorway company, who handed him over to police in Vösendorf.
Police recognised him as the suspect in the murder case and arrested him. He was carrying a knife.
The teenager, originally from Afghanistan, had stabbed the older man who was also Afghani with a kitchen knife whilst they were attending a German course at the AMS job centre in Liesing on March 10th. The victim died at the scene.
According to witnesses the two men had been arguing about music.
