The 81-year-old Austrian billionaire Richard Lugner married his 24-year-old fiancée Cathy Schmitz, known popularly as Spatzi in a ceremony at Vienna's magnificent Schönbrunn palace on Saturday.

"Hopefully, this time it's the right thing", said the building magnate, referring to the fact that this will be his fifth marriage.

His best man was his eldest son, Alexander.  Schmitz's sister Beate was in attendance as maid of honour.  The wedding dress was designed by Atil Kutoglu.

The two lovebirds have been a couple since February.  Lugner owns one of Austria's largest construction companies, as well as Lugner City, a shopping mall, while Schmitz is a Playboy model and mother of a small child.

Lugner is best known for inviting major celebrities to accompany him to Vienna's Opera Ball, including Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton.   Kardashian described her time in Austria as very shocking due to the racism she encountered in this country.

Prior to their engagement, Lugner talked about their relationship.  "Apart from the big age difference everything fits. Of course I argued less when I was alone, but a man needs a partner," opined Lugner.

In August, there was a minor incident when a man attacked their wedding cake.
